The Personal Man
The Personal Side
I was born in 1966 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  As of this year, I am now too darn old to hold many interesting jobs, such as FBI Special Agent, a position I applied, and apparently washed out of the running, for in 2002.  But hey, I'm not completely over the hill yet!  Here's some of the things I've got going on.

Family Matters
I've been married since 1989 and am beginning to think I may have this thing figured out, sort of.  Monica and I have 3 kids to chase after so we keep busy.  Here are some pictures of me and the family.

We live near College Station, Texas as of 2005.  Monica is from Texas, whereas I moved here for my last year of high school.  I stayed around and went to Texas A&M for my undergraduate studies before graduating in 1989.

Exercise Keeps a Guy Young (and Sore)
On January 1st, 1998, I made a commitment to myself that I was going to get back in shape.  My youngest son had been born a few months before and I was getting pretty porky.  Since then, I've kept up a regular cross-training routine.  Sure, there have been up periods and down ones, too.  But the hardest part was learning to live with the fact that I wasn't half the athlete I was in high school.  Check out my running times then and now.

The Obligatory Web Log
Blogging gives a guy the ability to spout off about things in a public forum, as long as someone is there to read it.  Google seems to screen off the little guys these days, so it's tough to get into the mainstream.  But I've been keeping my blog updated pretty regularly since I put it up.  Does anyone care?  Outside of family and close friends, probably not!.   Read my main blog.

"Free" Time
Looking over this page, one might think there's not a lot to talk about under this heading, and rightly so.  I do like to read a lot; here's a list of my favorite books.  I used to be into music big-time.  I was a true metal-head, but I don't listen to much music anymore except for what I scrape off of Morpheus.  That said, I do like Pink, Incubus, Santana, and P.O.D., among the current acts going.

We sprang for a big-screen TV a couple of years ago and we're both movie fans.  Lately we been watching a lot of movies because we've dispensed with cable/satellite TV.  So far, Blockbuster.com's online service is working out OK.  Here's a list of my favorite films.
